Welding

In order to prevent unwinding of the outer windings of coils, welding between the individual layers can be done instead of applying straps. These welding methods can also be used in the coil eye to prevent the inner winding from collapsing.

We have developed robot-based solutions in this area, which can take over the welding of the inner and outer layers. These solutions are available for both, steel and aluminium coils.

When welding from the side of the coil between the layers, the MIG process with filler material is used. When welding through two layers, the TIG process is used without filler material.
